Priority of the Wi-Fi frequency range (2.4 or 5) in the profiles

Please add in the profile options the ability to set the priority of the Wi-Fi frequency range (2.4 or 5). If this is not possible - then set the priority of individual MAC addresses.

Why: I have several dual-band APs at home (and not only). In most cases the higher signal level is in the 2.4 range, although it is preferable to use the 5 range (the signal level is sufficient, but below 2.4).
If there was one AP - it would be possible to bind the profile to its MAC in the range of 5, but in the case of several APs - this is possible only if you create several profiles for each AP, which is very inconvenient.

And maybe the setting "Automatically connect to the AP with the highest signal level" moved to the profile options instead of (or in addition) the global option - it is not necessary in some cases.

Thanks!

I do not know if this is possible, but I support this as well.
With all the IOT gadgets that require 2.4Ghz to be set up, being able to connect and force the wifi to connect to 2.4 GHz, and stay there would be of great value (obviously assuming the router or AP allows for both).

Re: Priority of the Wi-Fi frequency range (2.4 or 5) in the profiles

NetSetMan provides a user interface that is more user friendly and has more options and possibilities than the integrated wifi management in Windows. Having said that, it uses the official Windows API and is therefore limited to its capabilities.

To our knowledge, Windows does not provide a possibility to prioritize networks based on the frequency. And there is no way to prevent Windows from automatically changing the access point of the currently connected SSID, in case there are multiple available.

In NetSetMan you have the following options:

1. In the NetSetMan WiFi Management, you see all access points. In contrast to the Windows UI, they are not grouped, so you can choose the access point you really would like to use and connect to it.

2. If you want to connect to a specific access point with a NetSetMan profile, then you can use the "Connect by MAC address" option for the WiFi setting. There you can add the MAC address of the access point with the desired frequency. When you apply that profile, NetSetMan will connect to the correct access point.
