Change IP adress directly from tray icon

Is it possible to enable/implement an extra menu on the tray icon to change the a network setting directly. I'm a programmer and i have to switch between IP address a lot.

My suggestion is to have a extra menu below 'windows locations', then a submenu with the available network ports. By clicking on the network port go directly to the TCP/IPv4 settings of that connection. (standard windows setting)
Now I have to go to network settings, open the network port, open the properties of that port, scroll to TCP/IPv4 settings and change the settings.

Its a lot quicker to change than between IP's.

greetings,
P. v/d Cruysen

Re: Change IP adress directly from tray icon

We don't see a technical way to open a the TCP/IP dialog for a specific network adapter programmatically. If you're a programmer and know a way how to do this, you're welcome to share it with us and we'll have a look at it.

But why don't you simply use a NetSetMan profile for that instead? Simply keep a profile just for that purpose. That way you only need to open NetSetMan from the tray, select that profile, enter the IP and click activate.
