Two profiles/MACs seem to be selected together?

I tried to get the automatic switching going, but everytime I looked in the Wifi-overview it showed another MAC-address connected (*-B3-FE) than the MAC-address (*-F8-27) I wanted to pop up. However, activating the MAC-address in the tray shows the MAC I wanted to see: *-F8-27.

Which one is the truth?

Windows version 10 pro x64
NetSetMan version 5.0.6

SSID "Ziggo" is a lot around in the neighbourhood, but I don't always only want the one with the strongest signal.

The Wifi-overview always shows the strongest one in green and the top in bold as if it is selected.

Re: Two profiles/MACs seem to be selected together?

Those are two different types of MAC addresses.
6A-02-98-40-F8-27 is the MAC address of your wireless network adapter "Wi-Fi 2".
36-2C-94-D9-B3-FE is the MAC address of the access point "Ziggo" you are currently connected to.

MAC addresses for network adapters in the TrayInfo is optional and disabled by default. You seem to have manually enabled it. If you don't need this information, then you can disable it again.

Re: Two profiles/MACs seem to be selected together?

Would you agree that if I see my own MAC at 66% in the WiFi-overview that someone is spoofing my MAC?

Re: Two profiles/MACs seem to be selected together?

I seem to be spoofing it myself. If I want to connect to another address 'my own' MAC appears to become that address, so I'm doing something wrong.

Re: Two profiles/MACs seem to be selected together?

Windows does not provide an option for blocking MAC addresses.

Re: Two profiles/MACs seem to be selected together?

I was using the wrong MAC-entry to get connected. I now found I have to duplicate both MACs for a successful connection, the remote one in the upper 'WIFI' field with connect by MAC, the local MAC in the lower 'Driver'-field.

The local MAC also appears to be changeing a lot.

There seems to be a lot of confusion about the functionality. The local MAC address does not change by itself at all. However, if you are using the Driver/MAC feature, then this is the reason why your MAC address is changing. Do not use the Driver/MAC feature unless you really know what you are doing.
